On Nov. 8 and 9, all second graders visited the Czech Museum. They were beginning their unit on immigration. They learned about a girl who arrived in the United States and had to go through customs on Ellis Island. They also saw what was a typical Czech immigrant home.
The third grade classes presented "The Principal and the Pea" on Nov. 2nd.
Fifth graders went outdoors to do a mindfulness activity.
After a productive morning of learning, students look forward to a few minutes outside to move around and socialize with friends.

Crews were busy this summer redoing the restrooms near the main office. They have a totally new look.
Hiawatha staff enjoyed a lunch on Aug. 22 that was provided by our friends at New Covenant Bible Church. Members of New Covenant also showered the school with additional school supplies that will be used over the course of the year.
